Priceline.com Complaint - Negotiate Your Price ? I had just made a phone call to 1-888-837-3774 and spoke to a gentleman about my situation and all I received was "due to our purchase agreement" there is nothing I can do.

PLN*PRICELINE.COM RNTL 888-837-3774 OH $66.03 So these people charge me the same car rental twice! So, is the common for Priceline car rentals charge us twice? Anyone has similar experiences?

Regarding insurance, check your credit card and your personal auto insurance to see what they cover. If your personal auto insurance doesn't already include liability coverage it can often be added cheaply. The only issue could be insurance. There seem to be mixed review as to whether a Gold credit card covers CDW if booked on Hotwire/Priceline. I assume this is in regards to the fact that your credit card statement says "PLN*PRICELINE.COM RNTL - 888-837-3774 OH" rather than "Budget car rental". So it doesn't "prove" that the CC was used for the rental. I've read this concern elsewhere and I think it is overzealous negative interpretation of the terms (not by you golfer29, by others). This type of credit card entry would also be the case if you rented through any travel agent. And clearly it is easy to prove that it was for the car rental since the Priceline.com invoice states that it is for a Budget car rental. So if you had an accident you'd need to send the CC company a copy of your invoice and connect it with your CC statement, but you'd probably have to do this even if you rented directly from Budget. (Budget is used throughout here just as an example). Also, once you know what you would pay on Hotwire (as a backup plan), try a lower rate on Priceline.com. Use Betterbidding.com and biddingfortravel.yuku.com for tips on how low you can bid for a specific location.

We rented a car and took the collision insurance option. The total of the charge for that matched the amount for the PLN PRICELINE charge. We used the card to secure teh rental. Looks like they charged ASAP for the insurance money up front. Tried calling the 888 number but automated system was endless loop that would not let us through to a person.
