I was not informed of the platepass in my rental at the time of rental. I stopped at every toll booth and paid cash through all with the exception of the last toll, which is when I was informed of the platepass in the rental.

Rented a Hertz car in Tampa, drove SunCoast Parkway for several days and paid cash at every toll. Got home and had a charge of $39.38 from PlatePass aka Hertz. I declined all coverages and offers at the time of renting. I complained to my credit card company and PlatePass manufactured a "list" of cashless toll lanes I supposedly used. Hertz will never see me at their rental counters again. Anyone who ever talks to me about rental cars will hear how crooked Hertz really is.

I am commenting on every website I see having to do with the scam of Plate Pass through Hertz (and there are many). I was charged for an unauthorized use of Plate Pass for 8 days. I paid every toll in cash and never opened or used Plate Pass. They charged me without ever having been given access to my credit card by me for a toll on an "open toll road" of 75 cents. There was no toll booth and nothing posted about a toll. The 75 cent "toll" cost me about $30. Nothing short of a scam and if Hertz wants to maintain customers they will cut ties with this dishonest organization.

Did not know about PlatePass when rented Hertz car. Have been a member of FastTrak for over 15 years and used my transponder when I drove across bridge. Why am I being charged $45.75 and I only went across bridge one time?

I only used the toll twice and was told that I would be charged a maximum of $25.

They charged an additional 24.75 to handle the payment when the total payment was just 9.75.

I used 1 toll (Golden Gate Bridge) during a recent trip witha Hertz rental. I did not sign up for theHertz platepass, as charges are ridiculous. I used the online one time payment option to pay the SF bridge authority, by Credit card, for the 1 toll. I have received a charge fron platepass Hertz for $25.80. I will not pay more than the toll.
