I saw this on today's c c statement and thought "what the heck?" Then found this website vcharges.com and now understand what it is: " a charge at Kansas City airport vending site" before I flew last month. This is very disturbing that a company cannot log the actual place and city that the business took place. This also happened to me in Italy in March. I had a bill from a restaurant ( in Rome ) but it was listed through "a bank in Ireland" ! The Visa fraud department alerted me and cancelled the card ( well spotted ! ). On further investigation, this restaurant chain does its business through Ireland but does not put the name of the restaurant, city or even country where the transaction took place.

Charge from TELEGRAPH 1ST EDITION showed up on card. Based on info I saw on this site, I realized it was for a book I purchased at an airport store in Kansas City, MO. It was a valid charge.

Bought a New York Times at "Gotham News" in the Moynihan Train Hall in NY while riding Amtrak. This is how the charge showed up. 739 - TELEGRAPH 1ST ED PHILADELP

I did some research and it appears that these are retail stores in airports, hotels, and other travel related sites. www.marshallretailgroup.com was the underlying company. I saw an $8.98 charge and 739 - Telegraph NEWARK and it was one of the airport shops where I got a water and power bar. I indeed was in NEWARK AIRPORT on the date of the charge. In my case, it was a legit charge but they could make the notation on the credit card statement clearer.

I had this same transaction on 10/22/23 - Called the cardholder bank and they were no help at all. 739- Telegraph 1st Ed Philadephia. 12.43

Have the same charge, I figured out that it was a charge at the turnpike Sunoco convenience store near the King of Prussia interchange
