My son used his american express at the pump but it said to see attentant he was charged $100 and it has said pending for a week now. it happened dec 20 2013. I want his money returned to his card ASAP. I have the bank statement showing he purchased nothing but was charged and has not been refunded. my number is 863-236-8668 Shawne Boring a not very happy mother .

The Sunoco on Orange blossom 9495 S. Orange Blossom Trail Orlando, FL 32837, I charged on my AMEX 32.00 of gas on my car, but a credit hold on $700.00 pending on my card. What kind company puts a hold of $700.00 on a mid size passenger. Sounds like Fraud to me??? I strongly suggest people not use there credit card at the pump or better yet if this is standard business practice, which it seems to be, don't use Sunoco anymore. I wont...

Same here. Charged $34.xx for Gas at local Sunoco gas station and have a pending charge of $100. Not happy. Going to call AmEx now.

Put $32.00 in gas in my car while traveling at a Sunco in Orlando, FL. Sun Refining & Marketing put a pending authorization on my card for $700.00. Called AMEX and was told that in a "few days" the amount would be charged for the actual amount. In the meantime, due to the outrageously excessive pending authorization, I'm unable to use my card to book necessary work-related travel. I'm reporting this to Florida's Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services and encourage everyone who has been hit by Sun Refining & Marketing in this way to do so, particularly if their ridiculous pending authorization amount has resulted in a credit card decline or an inability to use your credit card due to their hold.

Was the Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services able to do anything? We had the same thing happen to us -- $700 hold plus $30 hold

Purchased approx. $40 gas today at Sunoco and they put $700(!) on my Amex card as pre-authorized amount. amex rep said would drop off in afew days, but that's excessive!

My sons AmEx was charged a ton of little transactions after having gotten gas the other day. When he first tried to use it at the pump it said to see attendant, but he tried it again and it went through fine. Since then we had to destroy the card and file multiple complaints. The gas station we used was USA. What a pain.

Thus is for Sunoco gas station. They apparently put at least a $100 pending charge on your account until it clears. Hoping it 'morphs' into what I actually paid. If not, I know USAA will treat me right.

today i've been charger for $350 from my Amex and i don't know where this transaction came from.I checked this company is in Tulsa,OK and i am in Los Angeles.What a fraud! Calling amex now!
