I quickly cancelled my debit card & call PayPal 1-888-221-1161 & spoke to 3 different people, the last being Karen that wanted my checking acct # (I refused that request quickly) ...I gave her the cancelled debit card # but she would not/could not help me. She would not/could not even tell me what the # 4029357733 was. I finally said to her 'in other words...y'all are stealing $120.00 dollars from me !' & she answered yes. I repeated to her again & asked her if what I said was correct & she said yes it was correct.

I was alerted by my credit card company of a suspicious charge. Thank God I looked up my charges! There was a charge from PayPal for $878.90! I know that charge was not made by me or authorized by me! PayPal was no help! I called the Fraud Department for the credit card that they charged the debit to. The credit card company is investigating it as Fraud, the information that I was able to obtain on my own with absolutely no help from PayPal is this... did not receive merchandise and took what it seemed like eternity to get someone on the line and wanted me to create a pay pal account even though I said I only ordered one time as a guest. I will never order anything like this again..People be aware of things like this... use a prepaid cc if you must to avoid these kinds of fraud....

I also had the same charge from “newpartscom”. I did not place an order thru them. They sent me parts I did not order with my credit card. My credit card (Chase) is not helping me. It was an eBay purchase thru PayPal. Did you get yours resolved?

I purchased 4 - 5x7 frame named inserts and 3 magnets named inserts on September 20,2016. Money was taken out of my bank account on September 21 but I still haven't received my purchase. I have called, text, etc. trying to find out what happened MANY times but to no avail. I haven't heard anything and I have my confirmation paper that I paid $63.50 to J Kunkle with merchant details : J Kunkle and [email protected]. At first, I had only one curious charge- 1)PayPal *Birdsong090 on my Debit acct. -$11.99 As I looked deeper I had 2)Paypal *Nero -$5.83 Then 3)Paypal*Songyupeng2 -$18.38 4) Paypal*Dreamland J All had the 402-935-7733 CA and all are legitimate purchases #1 + 3 are actually eBay #2 has the same phone # but it ends w/ IN and #3 is Dreamland Jewelry.

It wasn't a large amount - less than $10.oo with Paypal SarahFrance 402-935-7733CA as the transaction. I don't have a Paypal account so I know I didn't make the purchase and I rarely use this card - it was easy to spot it as a fraud. My credit card company was great in taking care of it for me and I hope they can shut these people down.

The only way to fix this. is to cancel your PayPal "if you have one". Secondly you have to unlink your eBay account to your paypal. I ran into the same problem , the only thing I got was to dispute with my bank about the transactions. Which still puts you at risk of other fraudulent charges. Best think just cancel everything and let your ban know , not to accept charges from paypal. Hope this work for you.

Happened to look online at a credit account that I don't use and saw a charge for $149.99 for Paypal. I have disputed it with Wells Fargo and closed the credit card. It shows in my transactions as entered by hand and there was never a receipt issue by company who charged my card. I do have a paypal credit card. I also am verified with Paypal with my bank account and a different credit card. Makes no sense that they would charge me on a credit card that I never told them about, when they could easily charge my bank account or the 2 credit cards that they know about it. This is a scam.

This was a $28.86 partial charge to my credit card because the paypal balance was not enough to cover the purchase. Check the date of the charge with your paypal account to figure it out. It was a few months ago. It was an international purchase and it takes some time to ship.

I linked my credit card hoping I could add funds, but found out I couldn't. But that is okay because the 2.45$ went into my paypal. However, There are also two, one dollar "Purchases" showing on my account. What is that? It just seems wrong. And I cant even find out why I was charged. Any time credit or debit card information is entered, altered, edited, or changed in PayPal, that information has to be verified with the card issuer in order for the change to take place. The credit card industry has a pre-approved method for merchants to verify this information - the $1.00 temporary charge (often known as a pre-authorization). These charges are not permanent, and will never become permanent, though they are absolutely necessary to confirm card information. This is done to ensure the safety and security of every member who uses our services. The $1.00 charge is released back to your card balance after a period of time determined by the card issuer themselves, not by PayPal. For example, PayPal has their own brand of debit card. When we receive a $1.00 pre-authorization from a merchant on our own card, we automatically release them on day five after the charge was placed. Your card issuer may have different policies regarding when they release, however, so you'll want to check with them as to how long they will remain.
