Although I forgot about a couple purchases, I checked and they are all legitimate. Some were Kindle books I bought, others were 4.99 movies I downloaded. I'd suggest logging into your Amazon account, and check your purchase history plus your Digital Order history.

The charge for $1.99 was for my Kindle subscription to "Philosophy Now." It's a legitimate charge.

This is the 2nd credit card that has unauthorized charges from Kindle. I have not used my credit card in over 8 months.

I was charged $10:88 every month since October 2018. I have never subscribed the service or purchase any Kindle books. Please please please refund all the charges. Thanks!

I was charged $90.09 on 10-18-2018 two times for the same book. Please refund my money of $90.09.

This charge is on my account every month. I called they said I had accidently hit the button. But I know I did not. They said they would cancel it but it still shows up on my account every month. Once they get you hooked on this stuff you cannot get off.

3 charges, totaling 35.98, with this line description appeared on my April statement. while I use Amazon a lot, I do not have a Kindle or buy anything from Kindle, and none of these charges appear on our Amazon account. Now I have to have my card reissued!

I received 3 charges on 8/17. I do believe two are mine for music but the third was a larger charge of 46.22. The other two were 2.99 and 7.99. Would like to know what this charge consisted of. Looks like all charges for Amazon Kindle but do not remember this amount as the price of the music. Thanks for any help!!

Was charged for a kindle book, Didn't recognize the charge # as it usually says Amazon but only listed the number this time. 100% legit though. Just search your digital orders and the price will match up.

That was the same for me. At first I thought it was a bogus charge. When I checked my Kindle orders, the charge was valid. Kind of lame for Amazon to label it that way.

what is this charge for? (Kindle Services 866-321-8851Free). I did not order anything from amazon. I ordered two local newspapers. Nothing to do with amazon. please refund my money.

A charge has appeared on my credit card statement that says "866-321-8851 866-216-1072 WA" and only by tracing the first number did I realize that it was from Amazon. WHY? And how do I prevent this from happening again?

I was buying books for my husband's new Kindle when in the middle of my transactions, a charge from 866-321-8851 appeared for $13.68 with nothing to tell me what it was for.

I was ordering some kindle books for my husband's new Kindle and all appeared on my bank statement as AMAZON SERVICES KINDLE. In the middle of the charges appeared one from 866-321-8851 for $13.68. All of the transactions were from today, 3/31/15. I do not know what this charge is for and why it appeared ... I ordered this way for all of my own books and have never had a problem. Please look into this and get back to me. CC

This appeared for me when I cancelled my card, and Amazon could not charge for a book I bought right after. When I made my new card and added it to my account, Amazon retroactively charged for the failed transaction. So it seems to be a "equalization" charge of some sort.

My husband purchased an e-book through the Kindle App on his android phone. It was not a purchase on my Kindle Fire HD even though it was the same payee on the bank statement.
